Ingredients :

1/2  cup  butter,  softened
1/2  cup  sugar
1/2  cup  dark brown sugar
2  eggs  (large)
1/4  tsp  vanilla extract
1 1/4  cup  all-purpose flour
1 tsp  baking soda
1  tsp  ground cinnamon
1/4  tsp  salt
1 1/2  cups  chopped and peeled apples  (about 2 medium apples)
1/2  cup  chopped walnuts

Method :

1.  Heat oven to 350'F.  Spray a 9-inch round cake pan with cooking spray.

2.  In a large bowl, beat softened butter and both sugars with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy.  

3.  Beat in eggs, one at a time.  Stir in vanilla extract, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.  Stir in the chopped apples and walnuts.  Pour into your prepared greased pan.

4.  Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean.  Cool about 10-15 minutes.  Cut the warm cake into slices and serve with ice cream.
