ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE

ORANGE CHIFFON CAKE


Egg yolk batter :

7 egg yolks (A)
50 gm caster sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tbsp. grated orange rind
60 ml. orange juice
few drops of orange colouring
110 gm self-raising flour

Egg white foam :

7 egg whites
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
130 gm caster sugar

Method :

1. To make egg yolk batter, combine egg yolks, sugar, salt, cooking oil, grated orange rind, orange juice and orange colouring in a mixing bowl. Fold in flour until forms batter.

2. To make egg white foam, beat egg whites and cream of tartar until mixture forms soft peaks. Gradually add in sugar, beating at high speed until frothy and stiff peaks form.

3. Gently fold beaten egg white foam into egg yolk batter until blended. (Fold in 3 batches).

4. Pour batter into ungreased 9-in (22 cm) tube pan. Bake in preheated oven at 170'C for 30-40 minutes or until cooked.

5. Remove from oven, invert cake onto table until completely cooled.

APAM KELEDEK

1/2 cawan gula pasir
200 ml. air
1 helai daun pandan
2 cawan tepung beras
1 cawan keledek rebus
3/4 cawan tepung gandum
sedikit garam
1 tsp. yis segera
1 tsp. baking powder
250 ml. susu cair/santan (I use susu cair)

Cara membuat :

1. Keledek rebus diblend bersama dengan susu cair/santan. Biarkan sebentar.
2. Masakkan gula bersama air dan daun pandan hingga gula larut.
3. Dalam mangkuk lain, satukan tepung beras, tepung gandum, yis, baking powder dan garam.
4. Satukan kesemuanya dalam blender dan kisar hingga sebati.
5. Perap selama 1 jam. Sapu sedikit minyak pada acuan kecil-kecil. Isikan 3/4 penuh.
6. Kukus : 15 minit (kalau loyang besar : 40 minit)
7. Boleh dimakan dengan kelapa parut. (Saya tidak hidangkan dgn. kelapa kerana tidak sempat ke kedai untuk membelinya. Apapun tqvm kepada Pn. Nor di atas kesudian berkongsi resepi yang sedap dan gebu ini. May Allah bless you & family).

STRAWBERRY CHILLED CHEESECAKE

STRAWBERRY CHILLED CHEESECAKE


Base :

250 gm digestive biscuits (finely crushed)
2 tbsp. icing sugar (sifted)
130 gm melted butter

Cream cheese filling :

2 tbsp. gelatine
100 ml. water
400 gm cream (refrigerated)
560 gm cream cheese (at room temperature)
1/2 tsp. salt
150 gm icing sugar (sifted)
4 tbsps. lemon juice

Topping :

150 gm strawberry jam
1 tsp. gelatine + 1 tbsp. water
1 box fresh strawberries

9" round loose bottom cakepan

To prepare base :

1. Mix the ground biscuits with icing sugar & melted butter.
2. Press onto the bottom of the cake pan. Chill for 1 hour or till the base hardens.

For the filling :

1. Mix water with gelatine granules until plumps up, then either microwave till gelatine
dissolves or double boil.
2. Using an electric beater, fitted with a whisk attachment, whisk cold cream until soft peaks.
3. Using another beater, beat cream cheese till smooth, adding salt & icing sugar.
4. Combine lemon juice, gelatine and cream cheese mixture into the beaten cream till
well blended.
5. Pour onto the harden base & chill for 3 hours or until filling sets.

To prepare topping :

1. Combine gelatine with water until it plumps up. Double boil or microwave until gelatine
dissolves about 15-20 seconds.
2. Combine gelatine with strawberry jam & spread over the top of cake.
3. Place fresh strawberries over the jam, pressing lightly to let the berries stick & chill
for 1 hour before cutting into pieces.
This cake is absolutely delicious. Try it. HAPPY BAKING & tqvm.

TIRAMISU

TIRAMISU


Bahan A :

24 keping biskut tiramisu
250 gm krim keju
150 ml yogurt asli
100 gm gula kastor
250 ml air panas dibancuh dengan 1 sudu besar nescafe
50 gm serbuk koko

Bahan B :
(Masak sehingga mendidih)

120 ml. air
1 tsp. serbuk agar-agar


Cara membuat :

1. Pukul keju dan gula hingga gebu.
2. Masukkan yogurt dan pukul lagi hingga rata.
3. Masukkan bahan B dan kacau rata.
4. Susun 12 keping biskut tiramisu.
5. Basahkan biskut tiramisu dengan bancuhan air nescafe.
6. Sapukan sebahagian adunan keju atas biskut tiramisu.
7. Ulangi lagi bagi lapisan kedua.
8. Ayakkan serbuk koko atas lapisan yang kedua.
9. Hias dan sejukkan di dalam peti sejuk beberapa jam sebelum dihidangkan.
