Ingredients :  (12 servings)

1/4  cup  shortening, melted and cooled
   1  cup  yellow cornmeal  (boleh didapati di BAGUS Bakery)
1/2  cup  all-purpose flour
   1  tsp  salt
   1  cup  buttermilk  (or  1 cup fresh milk + 1 tbsp white vinegar = let stand for 10 minutes)
1/2  cup  milk
   1  whole  egg  grade A or B
   1  tbsp  baking powder
1/2  tsp  baking soda
   6  whole  hot dogs 

Method :

1.  Preheat oven to 425'F.

2.  Combine corn meal, flour and salt in a mixing bowl.  In a separate bowl, combine buttermilk, milk and egg with a whisk.  Add baking powder and baking soda to the wet ingredients.  Stir into the dry ingredients.  Add 1/4 cup melted shortening, slightly cooled, stirring constantly.

3.  Grease muffin tins (whatever size you want) and fill them a little more than 1/2 full with batter.  Cut a hot dog into pieces (small rounds if using mini muffin tins; or 1-inch slices if using larger muffin tins).

4.  Bake until cornbread is done, about 10 to 12 minutes.  Remove from the pan and serve with ketchup and mustard!!!
