1/2 cup + 2 tbsp granulated white sugar (180 gm)
3/4 cup Milo powder (90 gm)
1/2 cup cocoa powder ~ sifted (50 gm)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour/plain flour ~ sifted (60 gm)
3 large eggs at room temperature
1/4 cup chocolate chips/chunks (60 gm)
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 tsp vanilla essence
Directions :
1. Preheat your oven to 160'C and line 8x8 inches/20 cm baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large saucepan or pot, place cubed butter in and start at low heat.
3. After about half of the butter has melted, add in the chocolate chips/chunks and stir well until melted.
4. Once all the butter and chocolate have melted, turn off the heat and proceed to add in both, the sugar and salt and stir well until well mixed.
5. Add in the cocoa powder and Milo powder and stir to form a clumpy mixture.
6. Add in the 3 eggs and vanilla essence and mix well, forming a slightly wet mixture.
7. Now fold in the flour, use a hand whisk to combine.
8. Transfer to the prepared baking tray (sprinkle with some almond flakes if you prefer), and tap well against the counter to dislodge air bubbles.
9. Bake for about 34-38 minutes if you like it fudgy and a couple more minutes if you prefer it to be more cake-like.
10. Leave to cool for a couple of hours before cutting. Serve and Enjoy.!!! (You can sprinkle it with Milo powder)...
