BROWN BUTTER BLONDIES

Ingredients :
1/2 cup butter (113 gm)
2/3 cup packed brown sugar (150 gm)
1 egg (I use gred A)
1 tsp vanilla extract (5 gm)
1/2 tsp baking powder (2 gm)
1/4 tsp salt (1 gm)
1 cup all-purpose flour (125 gm)
1/3 cup white chocolate chips/chunks (60 gm)
Directions :
1. Preheat oven to 350'F/180'C. Grease with butter a 8x8 inch/20x20 cm pan and lined with parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Place butter into a small saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until butter gets a nutty brown color. It may take a few minutes.
3. Sieve the butter into a large bowl and let cool to room temperature.
4. In a medium bowl whisk together flour with baking powder and salt and set aside until ready to use.
5. Add brown sugar over the melted brown butter and mix to combine. Incorporate egg and then add vanilla extract.
6. Add flour mixture and mix to combine. Fold the chocolate chips and transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
8. Let it cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting it into squares..
